Formatted disk data recovery

What can be changed by formatting? Here we are going to tell you what is formatting and its relationship with hard disk. Many people probably did not know that every hard disk must be formatted before it was available on the market. So all the hard disks have already been formatted when they were out from its manufacturers no matter external hard disks, USB sticks, memory card (another convenient storage device usually for cameras, cellphones.), hard disk built in notebook, laptops, desktops etc.

When the hard disks were formatted by the manufacturers, what they did the formatting is Low level formatting, which is different from what we do in Windows. What we usually format disk by mistake or accident is regular formatting or quick formatting, which does not hurt the data.

All the data can be recovered if you formatted disk by mistake or by accident. And what's more we should tell you, the chance of recovery relies on how much you have used the disk after your formatting by mistake. If you write new data in the formatted disk, say 10KB files, then you will lose the older 10KB files, which are your old files. Notice: stop using the formatted disk if you want to recover data from it.
